This bass has been used by Chris in the Wembley Stadium show from the Black Holes and Revelations tour, it was his main bass before switching to Status. It's most prominently used in their Wembley Stadium performance on the song Hysteria.
The bass was created in the 90's and features a different body shape to a standard Fender Jazz Bass. Chris has multiple of these basses but his main version features a Candy Tangerine finish with an ebony fretboard and white dot inlays. Chris has the exact same bass with a maple fretboard and black dot inlays. Each of these 90's USA Deluxe Jazz basses originally featured a 'White Pearl' scratchplate but was removed from the basses and sprayed with matte black spray paint by the bands guitarist Matthew Bellamy.
Chris has multiple versions of this bass and can still occasionally be seen playing a black 5-string version with a maple neck for 'Assassin' live as late as 2015.
