Dale Peters can be seen using his modified 1969 Fender Telecaster bass in this video from the german TV show "Beat Club" in every shot on which he appears (0:04 - 0:47 - 1:09 -1:30 - 1:51 - 2:13 - 3:00 - 3:09).
He played that bass almost exclusively through the 1970s. It features a split-coil pick-up instead of the standard single-coil pickup. He bought it from John Entwistle when the James Gang toured with the Who in 1970.
