Description
Unleash the power of sound with the Frap Tools Fumana Dual 16 Bands Spectral Editor, a modular synthesizer marvel that provides unparalleled sound sculpting capabilities. This dual 16-band spectral editor is a fully analog, voltage-controllable module that redefines precision and creativity in audio filtering. Whether you're crafting dynamic modulator signals or processing complex carrier material, the Fumana offers a playground for sonic exploration.
The module features a network of 16 independent 48 dB/octave bandpass filters, each equipped with envelope followers for the first audio path, allowing for intricate sound shaping. On the second channel, VCAs manage the filter paths, providing robust control over your audio materials. The Fumana stands out with its ability to process different signals on odd and even bands, offering a new dimension of audio versatility.
With its voltage-controllable parameters for tilt and parametric scans, this module ensures you can achieve the precise spectral processing your compositions demand. Add to that the unvoiced input for vocoder effects, and the Fumana becomes an essential tool for innovative sound designers and musicians looking to expand their modular synthesizer setups.

An analog masterpiece for sound sculpting
Not a module for the beginning modularist, this a very complex module that requires various sound and CV sources to leverage its power. The possibilities are limitless - to take any sound source, break it into 16 frequency ranges, and use the amplitude energy of each of those 16 bands to drive 16 frequency ranges of another sound source, or extract that energy as CV for any other function in your system is unbelievable. And being 100% analog.... there is no artifacts or digital aliasing in the process - just warm analog clipping and saturation. This takes the concept of a vocoder to a much higher level.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Patching samples and tape loops from Instruō Lúbadh as a modulator into Fumana - particular passages of spoken word, and using the spectral transfer to modulate other synth voices, such as Frap Tools Brenso or Instruō Cš-L, is otherworldly.
