This is a UPS (Unified Power System) and what a UPS does, is essentially generate a giant back up battery if your studio loses power.

This is a UPS (Unified Power System) and what a UPS does, is essentially generate a giant back up battery if your studio loses power. This is very important if you have a lot of money invested in hardware as you dont want anything to happen to your tubes or any parts of your hardware if the electricity goes out and surges your systems. This UPS gives me around an hour to turn off all my gear in my studio (I have two, so my power conditioners are split between the two UPS I have and I plug all my gear into the power conditioners) when my power goes out I usually turn off all my gear in a minute or two, but this thing is an added insurance policy.
