Hands On Review: Furman PL-8 and PL-Plus Power Conditioners - The Hub

musiciansfriend.com

The Furman PL-8 Power Conditioner impresses with its robust surge protection and noise filtering, making it a valuable asset for gigging musicians. The Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus circuit ensures durability against power surges without self-sacrificing, a common flaw in competitors. The PL-Plus model adds a handy voltage meter to its already solid feature set. However, its utility becomes apparent only when encountering poor venue power, which may not affect every user. Overall, it’s a sound investment for those needing reliable power conditioning, with the review leaning favorable towards its benefits, despite its specific utility.

stable power that can fix issues with gear that is sensitive to power dips

I've been on gigs with this device where a flaky device stopped being flaky as soon as it was plugged into the PL-8

It's also gigged out with e countless times and is on almost perpetually in my studio for decades and still does it's thing. built like a tank. This is a pro device. Don't buy some crap that's oversold to home theater consumers in a big box store. This is a tool, not a toy.
