Gretsch G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Gretsch G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone offers a classy build at an attractive price, making it a compelling entry point into the baritone world. While the neck profile is welcoming and the tonal range commendable, players may find the output jack a bit loose and might crave the heft of a full-sized humbucker for deeper baritone sounds. Overall, it captures a variety of styles well, although modern metal enthusiasts may find it lacking. This guitar is a solid choice for those looking to explore the unique sound of baritone without breaking the bank.

Gretsch Electromatic G5260 Jet Baritone review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

This Gretsch G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone strikes a chord with its classic looks and impressive tonal range, making it a compelling choice for both seasoned players and newcomers. Its mini-humbuckers deliver rich, versatile sounds that shine in various genres, from rock to shoegaze. However, some guitarists may miss the more traditional Bigsby option, and while it excels in clarity, those seeking high-output metal tones might want to explore other options. Overall, it delivers a fun playing experience at an accessible price point.

Solid Long Scale Baritone

Great guitar for those low tunings you may be seeking out. At almost 30" scale length it is basically a Bass VI and can be tuned as one with proper strings.

waqwaves

Solid baritone for the price!

I tested multiples baritone guitars, and this felt like the best one in its price category. It's quite versatile in sound: it can go from very fat sounds on the neck humbucker with the tone knob rolled down a bit, to pretty twangy on the bridge humbucker. Great tuning stability, feels sturdy, and a gorgeous colour! However, don't expect to be able to bend like Hendrix if you keep this in B standard with the default strings.
