Vented Snare
I have been using an Orange County Drums Snare for the last 10 years and have never looked at another drum since. OCD's vented snare has provided me with a very loud, clean and sharp snap suitable for my style of playing. It is extremely useful for playing smaller venues as a drum mic is often not required.

Travis Barker has been playing Orange County Drums for 12 years. He is also quoted as saying, "OCDs are loud and project really well". His current set up consists of a custom configuration which has been seen live on the European tour for Blink 182, and consists of the following: 22x22 bass drum with a double wide hoop, 12x5 rack tom, 16x14 floor tom (both toms have die cast hoops), 10x7 vented acrylic snare drum, 14x6.5 machined aluminum snare drum (die cast hoops top and bottom on both snares).

He used this kit in 1997 for the tour of The Colour and The Shape
Ilan Rubin used to be an Orange County Drum & Percussion (OCDP) artist before switching to Q Drum Co, and eventually to Gretsch. The OCDP drum kit sizes he used include: 20x22 (kick drum), 5x14 (snare), 8x10, 10x12, 12x14, 14x16, and 16x18 (toms). Additionally, he had snares sized 5x14 with 20-ply vented, red sparkle, and die-cast hoops, and 7x14 with 10-ply and 6-ply reinforcement rings, Type 5 gloss black with skulls and pinstripes in red sparkle hi gloss, gloss black P.C., and tube lugs. The kit also featured options like black gloss P.C., 10" and 12" hanging Rims mounts, and 14", 16", and 18" floor tom Rims mounts. This information is supported by his artist profile on the OCDP website.
He can be seen using OCDP in many of the music videos of the No Pads, No Helmets ... Just Balls album, and can be seen using it live around 2002 for a short while.
Jon used Orange County drum sets for quite awhile, and he can be seen playing on one here
Liam began using Orange County Drum and Percussion custom snare drums in 2002 while in Not By Choice. His favourite was always a 6.5" x 14" Orange vented snare drum with custom badges. The "Liam Killeen Model".
This pic was taken from either a Not By Choice or a USS rehearsal in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
"John Whynot produced our first record, and when he landed in Toronto and I showed him this snare, his main concern was the bleed on every other mic, because he'd never heard something so loud! Playing with this live has been great, because of the stick response. If it's tuned properly, this thing is a real weapon. Some FOH engineers don't love the volume, but when we were playing with Avril Lavigne, I'd get tons of compliments on the consistency of the hits, and it always opened up any gate on any mic it's ever come across."
