It has clean, crunch, and crushing lead tones all in one.

This amplifier is clearly designed with metal in mind, but I've put it through its paces. The clean sound is pretty solid, offering a bright switch to get a nice clean sound with a nice sparkle to it, but where it really shines is the lead channel. You can really get a variety of tones by utilizing the gain knob in tandem with the gain boost button. You can go from a nice rhythm/riffing tone to a squealing lead sound with a ton of sustain. It also takes pedals pretty well, which is just a plus. I've even cheekily put a bass through it before (with the volume as low as can be of course) and that didn't sound half bad either. A good amp for sure, and more versatile than you might think.

My amp. Since 2011. I record everything on it.

My amp. Since 2011. I record everything on it. It has that unique "dry", "gray", sound that I like, so its good for coloring it with effects. I dont use its footswitch because I dont have good control of the distortion with it. Good bass control, with Ibanez its on 5/10, with Jaguar it`s on full 10/10. Great reverb also, which is always around 7/10 in my case.

battlejacket

Impressive death metal tones.

This amp has 2 channels, soft and distortion, can be easily used with metal music at higher volumes also has a knob in the back t0 adjust how much power you are using for small bedrooms to large audiences.
