1960s Pleasant (Shinko-made) SEL-220 Electric Guitar

The Pleasant SEL-220, crafted by Shinko Gakki in the '60s, is a quirky mix of Mosrite and Jaguar influences, offering a unique aesthetic that was popular in Japan. While its raunchy yet clean Jaguar-like pickups are a highlight, the guitar's construction needed significant restoration. After refretting, replacing several components, and a thorough setup, it shines as a playable instrument. However, original parts like the whammy and bridge have been swapped for authentic Bigsby replacements, and the tuners are vintage Fender. This guitar is for those who appreciate its vintage charm despite its history of repairs and modifications.
