Cheapest Electric Guitar on Amazon – Does the RockJam Electric Guitar Superkit Suck? | Gear Report

gear-report.com

A bargain-bin starter kit in the worst way: the RockJam Superkit’s concept is appealing, but the execution is a mess. The reviewer calls the first sample “the worst guitar I’ve ever attempted to play,” citing terrible setup, sky-high action, a badly fitted nut, weak pickups, rough finish work, and hardware issues that make it nearly unplayable for the beginners it targets. A replacement was better and, after hours of repair and setup, became merely adequate. There are a few faint bright spots—decent electronics, a neck finish the reviewer liked, and responsive customer service—but they’re buried under quality-control failures and painfully bright, thin tone. Bottom line: unless you already know how to diagnose and fix a guitar, this cheap Amazon special is more likely to kill enthusiasm than spark it.
