My favourite
I love Fender guitar designs. My one also similar to Kurt Cobain's Vandalism Startocaster, HSS is a classic for me. My friend loves HSS and Custom Shop Strats same as me so we're familiar. My also was modded onto HH.
GOOD GUITAR BUT PISSED ME OFF FOR A WHILE
This guitar is fucking class but when i got it , it was set up awfully and i did not have a single clue how to set instruments up . so for like 6 months this guitar just lay around , now its my main for everything :):):):):):):):)
Preferred Settings + Usage:
1st position humbucker bridge pickup , all volume and tone maxed - metal 5th position single coils , all tone and volume maxed - clean polyphia-like tone

Unbelievably versatile
Now an SSS strat is a classic but an HSS strat is a powerhouse. You can get nice tones through the single coils then switch to the humbucker and you can do any kind of rock music.
Bottom line: this might be better than a SSS strat.

A wicked shred machine!
I bought this second hand in 2009 and it's been a popular addition to my arsenal ever since. Between the hot humbucker in the bridge position is second to none and the thin neck allows for seamless playability.

MIM Strat
HSS setup is why you buy this. The sustain is good. Built like a tank for a MIM. Get good tone from it

almost every MIM is routed for a humbucker at the bridge or ahs a bathtub route

This Fender Stratocaster HSS is part of George Harrison's guitar collection, used during performances in Canada. The proof of this is shown in a user-uploaded photo.
The Perry Mason video shows him with a sunburst/white pickguard Fender strat with an HSS config. This particular strat is kinda interesting as it looks like it has a floyd type bridge and a passive pickup in the bridge - stuff which you wouldn't normally see in his guitars.
In this photo, Malmsteen can be seen with a Black Fender Strat with an H-S-S pickup configuration. No stranger to Stratocasters, it is odd to see the guitar equipped with a bridge Humbucker, knowing Malmsteen's preference to DiMarzio/Seymour Duncan Single-coils.
As well it should be noted that there are two small screw-holes in the pickguard next to the bridge pickup, this indicates that this guitar used to have a standard slanted Single-coil in the bridge, this suggests that Malmsteen or one of is guitar-techs installed the pickup rather than coming Humbucker equipped from the factory. This photo appears to be from the '80s so Malmsteen most likely would have been using DiMarzios at the time, however this is just speculation.

In an Instagram post, Avril Lavigne is shown with a Fender Stratocaster HSS, highlighting her use of this electric guitar.
He says in this video he has a HSS STRAT. You can also see him performing live with his White HSS Stratocaster with a custom black pickguard and his band design on it.
Garza can be seen in this Instagram post with his two Fender Strats, one of which is a HSS Strat.
