This guitar is a Cult: Its not perfect, but is unique

I bought this guitar as an experiment because is very inexpensive. I was expecting lots of defects but I found almost none. The fret edges are a bit sharp, so I put some masking tape and sanded them with the thinnest sandpaper you can find. Now they are better. I do have a little bit of string buzz which could be a set-up or string gauge/tension problem. Also, the PAF pickups are ceramic. They sound great at the bridge, good but not so great at the neck. Overall is not a perfect guitar, but is a great value for money (worth at least twice the cost).

What makes me give it a 5 star is that this guitar is unique in its stile and is an extremely inspirational instrument.

It might be considered a Fender Bass VI replica, because of the look, but this instrument is quite different. The Bass VI was conceived as a bass-like guitar, and the thin-sounding Jaguar pickups make it sit in that sonic place. The Rogue VI instead has humbuckers. It is a 30" baritone guitar, much like other 30" baritones like the Squier Jazzmaster or the Gretsh Jet, but comes already strung and tuned one octave below, like the Bass VI. The distinctive feature of this guitar compared to all others, as above mentioned, is the humbucker pickups, which are the perfect configuration for such a baritone guitar. Especially for new genres like Djent.

Great value for price

It's a bird... it's a plane... it's a bass VI. Now what the heck is a bass VI...? Well, it's a bass. Aaaaand it's a guitar.... Introduced by Fender in the sixties, the bass VI model is an odd one out. Tuned an octave lower than a regular guitar this thing acts as a bass but has PAF style humbuckers and plays more like a guitar than a bass due to the quite slim neck. SubZero is Gear4Music's own brand and is a cheap brand but it way extended my expectations. Sure, it has it's imperfections but give it some love and it's bang for the buck. Heavy riffing on this will blow your mind. Very inspiring to play as it forces you out of your comfort zone.
