Description
Unleash a universe of tone with the Suhr PT15 IR, a guitar amplifier head that seamlessly blends vintage tube warmth with modern digital precision. Crafted with meticulous care by John Suhr and Pete Thorn, this 15-watt powerhouse offers a trifecta of channels, each designed to deliver distinct tonal landscapes. Channel your inner rock star with American-voiced cleans on Channel 1, while Channels 2 and 3 deliver modded British high-gain that’s packed with harmonics and sustain. The revolutionary 6V6 power section ensures dynamic headroom that keeps your sound clear and punchy, no matter how hard you push it.
Explore new sonic territories with the PT15 IR’s built-in reactive load and impulse response technology, which allows for silent recording and live performance without a speaker cabinet. Effortlessly switch between 16 channel-assignable IRs, six of which are custom-designed by Pete Thorn, or load your own favorites via the rear-panel USB port. Whether you're recording in the studio or performing live, the PT15 IR offers authentic miked-cab tones that are second to none.
Onboard features such as a buffered, tube-driven effects loop make integrating your pedalboard a breeze, while the included footswitch ensures seamless transitions between channels. The best of both worlds
The PT15 is perfect as a first tube amp. The three channels on the amp lets me play around with any sound I want, from a John Mayer-esque high headroom clean tone to dirty Slash licks. This was a big upgrade coming from the digital modeling world of amps, I have not touched my Boss Katana since getting this.
Also the built-in IR makes it so that I did not have to buy a cabinet, living in an apartment that's a lifesaver. I have it connected directly to my audiofuse interface, with the sound coming out my Adam T5Vs.
