Great beginner's guitar
I bought this as my first electric guitar quite a few years ago for less than £100, and since then I have constantly used it, both in the studio and live. The stock pickups actually sound surprisingly great, and although I have modded this guitar heavily (fitted a Seymour Duncan Strat pickup in the neck and made numerous cosmetic alterations), I have retained the bridge pickup as it delivers a fantastically crisp, bright sound. The frets aren't exactly tidy, but the guitar's intonation is spot-on and it plays well. It has survived several years of gigging now with very few issues. A great guitar for a beginner, as well as a great project for modding.
