Decent cleans, decent overdrive, but bad cabinets.
The PRS SuperModels plugins are a steal, typically on sale for $29 to $49 from Waves. But this price comes with a catch. Only a few cabinets that come with the plugins are good. Some of the cabinets on the archon plugin are just plain bad. It could just be me, or my tastes in music, but I just cannot use these plugins with the preinstalled cabinets. That said, where these plugins really shine, is when you use your own cabinets. Pick up some good IR's and you will be on your way to tone city. The archon is my favorite, and it has been one of the only VST guitarstones that I could get to sit well in a mix without over tweaking. Try it out.
