this does pitch correction, vocoding is different... it combines the timbre and pitch of a one sound with the amplitude of another to varying degrees... 2 different style of robot voices. Actually, the auto-tune robot voice is an artifact, tis not MEANT to do that, but if you set it extreme it does it and tis become an effect ever since cher's believe. Vocoders are actually meant to make crazy artificial voices. They were developed by phone companies in the 60s and 70s as an experiment to improve the analog transmission of the human voiceover long distances, but it proved fruitless and the gear was adopted by music pioneers like kraftwork....
