MSDOS Power

It's just a toy keyboard, right? Wait, this thing has an FM synth chip in it... and the parameters are accessible on the front panel! What? I can save my own patches? All this for $40? Sold.

Obviously, all of these things in themselves are great, but how does it sound? I'll tell you: It sounds like an early 90s MSDOS video game. Load up YouTube right now and search "Dune AdLib soundtrack". That's what this synth sounds like. Also, there's this one patch I made on it with a pretty slow harmonic swell and slow portamento (yes the portamento is programmable) that sounds eerily similar to some of the ghostly melodies Jonny Greenwood plays on his Ones Martenot (after some lush reverb gets tossed into the sound-salad, of course). Yeah, so go buy one. Now.
