As in a chopping board? Nah, a £5 slab of wood from B + Q

I'll have a think. The internet is full of streaming sites, and at least one of them must support some type of background music. Twitch, hangouts,
And forgive me for being apprehensive, but you know meeting up with strangers online on any service/site makes me cautious. I've figured that none of you guys are creeps, but you can never be to sure. No offense guys.
Also time zones

If one of us started a stream on youtube, and we put music in the background of it (Idk if you can, I'vre never done a stream) then there's comments on there.

I sill haven't worked out how to get pics onto EB forums so I've just put a "gear porn" of my current board up there

Could you expand a little on that, it sound interesting, and possible.
I think I was thiking of an anathema album there.
10yover 10 years ago
Does that have a tree on the cover. I think actually I may have listened to it, but as background music ehile doing homework or something.

I never really got into much explosions in the sky actually, I really should.

What pedal is this. I thought you only ordered the black fountain?

If you want a cheap SG style guitar check out the ESP Vipers, they're pretty nice, for the price. Oh, and vintage as well, they make a mean SG. They have one signature ,odel SG that I quite liked.

If we're going for more classical artists now, let's see.
Debaussy Telemann Chopin Elgar Brahms Grieg
Brahms, Hungarian dances are some of my favourite pieces of music if all time.

Yeah, I love my post rock, and mogwai for me are the best out there. Even though there sound has evolved from mogwai young team, which was more Ricky, to rave tapes which has a more electronic vibe, they still always seem to provide that little bit of extra interest that many if the others don't.
That said sigur ros, god is an astronaut, 65dos, Russian circles, maybeshewill, this will destroy you, and Godspeed you black emperor are all pretty amazing.

Actually if I could have a sixth you've gotta love the smiths -
1 there is a light that never goes out
2 heaven knows I'm miserable now
3 this charming man
They have just a criminal amount of great songs

Yeah, I'm gonna get something a little better if the alpha can't be revived. Any recommendations for a 1/2 mic line input interface == £100/>£100. I'm thinking maybe focusrite. It's annoying coz I've been saving up for a new guitar this year.

Smashing Pumpkins – • Tonight, tonight • Jelly belly • Bullet with butterfly wings There’s so many more though (I swear there wasn’t a weak song on MCATIS)
Mogwai -
• Travel is dangerous • How to be a werewolf • Heard about you last night Again the list could go on
Polyphia -
• Nightmare • Florence • The Aviator Again there was like two weak tracks on Renaissance
Pink Floyd -
• Comfortably numb • Echoes • Dogs They have a lot of great songs as well
Perpiphery -
• Scarlet • Alpha • Icarus lives
With Tool, Chon, Iron Maiden, dream theatre, between the buried, and me, born of Osiris, porcupine tree, rush, cream, the white stripes, Godspeed you black emperor, Russian circles, 65dos, drenge, wolf alice, the jimi Hendrix experience, soundgarden, and audioslave as the main honourable mentions.
This might come out weird

Recently my interface seems to have broken, for no particular reason, that I can identify. I am using a lexicon Alpha interface, but it seems fairly generic. Does anybody know a possible diagnosis/know of a similar issue from the past.
Essentially it just isn't doing anything. When I plug into a computer (And I've tried a few) it is inactive. No light comes on, no function occurs.
The only thing I could see as a potential issue is the actual USB transmission port, as that's where power is received, as well as data, however all prongs seem to be lined up fine. In the past one of the went slightly crooked but I corrected that with some tweezers, and it worked fine.

Why would she have done it? Was he trying to break up, or something? If she did then I'd hate her even more than I already do. Kurt could have gone on to do some great things, not necessarily with Nirvana. I would have loved to seen some sort of grunge supregroup, maybe
kurt cobain - guitar vocals chris cornell - guitar vocals jeff ament - bass dave grohl - drums steve turner - lead guitar Gerry Cantrell - vocals

Anybnody heard the new polyphia album
Yeah, a lot of bands these days can't even play well live, let alone get the same sound.

Any compression pedal recommendations?
MXR Dynacomp Boss cs2 Cali 76 Wampler ego SD vise grip Xotic SP Keeley comps empress comp
I personally'd go for the TC Hypergravity, it's digital, but versatile.

Anybnody heard the new polyphia album
As proggy metal goes, it's a pretty good album, but I would prefer to listen to a little more advanced heavier stuff - BoO, AAl, Periphery, BTBAM, etc, though that Chon, vitalism, sort of thing can be cool. Also does anybody know why Born of Osiris fired Jason Richardson?

Anybnody heard the new polyphia album
Yeah. It's a lot different from their previous albums, and Tim's guitar playing on this album is very reminiscent of Tosin's, a lot of slapping, and tapping.

Anybnody heard the new polyphia album
I'm working on some kind of review of it that's currently at 3k words, so as you can tell I love it. Any opinions?
10yover 10 years ago
Hey its good, I just don't think anything could've prepared me for that :) One of the things with the web that annoys me is that you can't get tone of voice across. If you'd have heard me say what I just wrote you wouldn't have posted that if you get what I'm saying.

Same as the premice of the Marvel vs DC post a while back, so if you don't know what was going on check it out I couldn't find a post of this already, so I thought I'd put it up.
Personally I'd be with the X-men, as they're generally more powerful, however it depends on whether Thor is allowed to compete

I am a changed person after reading that post.
"Spanking her with a vintage Les Paul Junior until she turns heritage cherry"
WTF...strangely funny, but all the same!

Okay so I've been playing a lot of maien recently, however today while learning the wicker man I couldn't fathom the awkward fingering for the chorus lead, any ideas?

Jackson Kelly?
The epis aren't usually too expensive
And anything sub that osrt of epi price will be a pile of crap, so I'd get a decent guitar. I've learnt my lesson about buying something on the cheap, its a waste, and you'll regret it later.

Yeah...
Also I only just noticed the pony, I thought it was a hand. What's that about?

Eric Clapton's EB What the hell
Look at the other items. Somebody explain that plz, coz how are those gear XD

Apparently Simon Neil said they are prog metal. In my opinion they are overproduced stadium rock crap.
10yover 10 years ago
Satanic. What a load of crap. They aren't doom, or heavy metal to me either. They are effectively lullabys.
10yover 10 years ago
How to get this sound? - Post here to get ideas on how your favourite band gets their sound.
Yeah, if I were to get a reverb I'd get a TC HOF. for £80 you get a whole host of toneprints, so you can get just about any sound you, or artists, or the communitie, etc can make.
Also the TC ethereal delay is really nice. They're discontinued, but you can get them new, and used online.

To be honest I love the sound of oil can delays. The catalinbread adineko sounded pretty good when I've played it, and actual fender oil can delays are pretty nice. They do sound almost tape like, but with a bit less rigidity. They have a lovely warble, but they don't have that almost robotic feel of tape, which isn't always convient.
