Arguably the most famous Danelectro guitar, thanks to high-profile usage by the likes of Jimmy Page in Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd's Syd Barrett, the delicious double cutaway '59 Dano is back and cooler than ever, thanks to a 'pre-aged' makeover and up-specced components and hardware.
Glossless finish paintwork, matt finish hardware and tinted shallac laquer applied over the cream coloured parts really underlines the vintage retro appeal of these excellent guitars.
The semi-hollow Masonite body with adhesive tape edging (though there's no body 'seam' to hide under the tape nowadays), the giant 'seal' scratchplate, the cool revised styling of the famous 'coke bottle' headstock shape - arguably one of the best headstock shapes ever - plus the twin wide-spaced body horns, chunky radio style vertical-ridge control knobs, the aluminium nut...
all the trademark Dano features!
The '59 Pro also features twin alnico-powered Lipstick® case pickups with warmer spec windings for a sweeter tone and slightly hotter output. Plus there's a fully adjustable and intonatable chrome plated raised-tail bridge, and six adjustable, enclosed gear machines.
musicians model in white.Fantastic punchy, clear and melodic sounds like a Telecaster on steroids. Great pickups (FGI technology I think) and is a light 3kg but well balanced. Made in the 90's when Fernandes where producing fantastic guitars Very well made and simple in construction the guitar delivers a sound that will surprise. Excellent for Rock n roll rhythm and bluesy lead stuff.

Very rare both here in Australia and in Japan itself. Is all original bar the green knobs and a Kahler locking nut. looks cool and presents pretty well. it plays and sounds great. Only made for a year or so.
Body is solid Alder, neck is maple with rosewood fretboard (648mm scale, 22 frets). The tremolo is Extra Tokai with Kahler locking nut. The Humbuckers were specially designed for these guitars and are coil tapped with push/pull operation. There is a Compressor/Boost push/pull function too which in the minimum position seals the sound and raises the middle, and at the maximum produces a convincing overdrive. The compressor operates in both single-sound mode and humbucker mode
.
Overall a unique guitar, built from high quality components that is in very good playing order.
Charvel from the Refinement series that was only released domestically in Japan during the 90's. Made by the Chushin Gakki factory. Rare to see outside of Japan and this colour Apricot? Peach? I've never seen another one of. Plays really well. I think the pickups are Gotoh made and are pretty good. Medium 628mm scale. Has a Danelectro like tone and really screams with distortion. It certainly is a headturner and the satin chrome pops nicely. A guitar for the individuals amongst us.

Excellent playing guitar from Fernandes's heyday when the flared mullet was at it's peak. This is a musicians licence model associated with legendary Japanese guitarist Hidehiko "Hide" Hoshino from the Buck Tick band. Nicely constructed it plays real well with a lovely low action and spot on intonation.. This is a pro quality instrument for a great price. This model was made in Japan from 1988-1991 where it sold for 75,000 yen. Rare to come across outside Japan.
