Description

The Baum Guitars Original Series Wingman

The Wingman is Baum’s new classic. With its contemporary edge, Danish design, and classic sound, the Wingman model is an incredibly versatile model. The Danish design is simplistic and sophisticated at the same time and combines visual appeal and functionality into one special Wingman guitar. It invites you to play something new. Something you. Bigsby or stop tail, there is a Wingman for you! Fitted with a set of Goldsound Goldbuckers: a mini-humbucker that is clearer and cleaner than full-sized humbuckers. The high output will easily push your amp into natural overdrive and open a plethora of harmonics. Turn the volume knob down, and it will clean up nicely while remaining bright and clear. The Wingman is different, yet so familiar. That’s a powerful statement and it’s the players’ best sidekick. Wherever the player goes, the Wingman follows.

Superb

Great quality instrument, great playability and smooth feel. Great balance, amazing pickups, I think it should definitely come with locking tuners.

Great Sound

I don't feel like you have to be an artist or own a specific guitar in order to be able to review it. Izzy Phillips, the lead singer / rhythm guitarist of one of my favourite bands, Black Honey, has a vintage white Wingman Vega and it sounds great live. It also looks absolutely amazing and is a great alternative to a more traditional design such as the Jazzmaster, it also won a Gold Award at the New York Product Design Awards in 2024. Whilst a little pricey for an Asian made guitar, a quick google of this guitar shows up tonnes of positive reviews both on forums and YouTube.
