Works just as good on guitar as it does on a bass!

I "stole" this from my dad in 2019 when me and my brother was attempting to play One by Metallica, and since then I've used it on both my guitar board and my bass board. this and a ProCo Rat became my go-to sound on bass and I think that might be it for the rest of my life. So simple yet so beautiful!

Preferred Settings + Usage:

On bass I have the Level at 12 o'clock, Low FilterÄ at 1 o'clock, *Rate at 11 o'clock and Depth at 1 o'clock. On guitar I have the Level at 2 or 3 o'clock and the rest of the knobs as the above

This pedal should really be called a BASS chorus!!

I love this pedal on bass. I have a bit of a chorus addiction, and yes, this pedal I also own as I'm primarily a bass player!

Circuit wise, it is quite close to the other known Boss Chorus pedals (the CE5 / CH1) but where his brothers and sisters add a low cut to get the chorus flowing in the upper frequencies, this CEB-3 gives the swirl in the low end.

It has a lot of tone, a lot of chorus and even looks damn cool!

But buyers beware: there is an analog version and a digital version. And although both sound similar, the digital version just lacks the complexity of the analog version that sounds much more lush, big or swirly!

The CE-5 doesn't cut any bottom if you use it right. Same low filter control, just with added high filter too.

@tmuchinfo: the low end cut is prior to the chorus circuit; the EQ is placed after the chorus circuit. All other chorus pedals cut the low end prior to the chorus circuit. The CEB-3 doesn't do that

Great value

I sold my old CE-5 before getting this, and while I would prefer the CE-5 as it's essentially the same pedal with an added high filter option. I'll settle for this as it sounds identical. (and is cheaper). It absolutely rocks on fretless bass.

Not the best sounding bass chorus out there, but reliable and affordable.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Level and depth = Max Rate and Low filter = 10:30

Very good surprise

I bought this pedal as a cheaper option for bass chorus, since I don't see much use for chorus in the sound of my band. But from minute one I put it on my board I was impressed by the quality of tone, the easy of use and the range of controls. Sounds so good that I started using more chorus effect on my band!
