The Vegas embodies the idea that simplicity is best

. The original body shape provides an excellent fit when held. Binding around the body perimeter adds a sense of firmness not only to the look but also to the sound.

The body material is a one-piece mahogany, which allows for a more natural acoustic sound. The contoured elbow and back of the body also provide a more comfortable fit.

The neck has a 42mm nut width and a clean arched custom C-shape with 22 frets. The fret size is medium, providing both intonation and playability.

The tuning machines are Gotoh Gut Rotomatic type SG-360MG (previous models were HAPM models). Because they are locking tuning machines, string changes are easy and the same tension balance can always be maintained regardless of the number of windings on the tuning machine post.

Vegas Pickup

Cruise's original "VEGAS" pickup delivers the sound of a single coil while reducing noise. Its old-school design, featuring two bar magnets, boasts a good signal-to-noise ratio and a clear, powerful sound. It delivers a well-balanced range of high, mid, and low frequencies, while maintaining a playability unmatched by vintage pickups.
