    Source

The Strymon Orbit dBucket Flanger impresses with its versatility and depth. With controls for speed, width, and regeneration, it offers a wide range of flanging effects from subtle to wild. The unique LFO switch allows for diverse modulation sweeps, enhancing creative possibilities. While its array of controls can be overwhelming for those who prefer simplicity, it excels in delivering rich, dynamic tones that cater to both vintage and modern tastes. Perfect for players who seek comprehensive control over their sound, but may not be ideal for those looking for a straightforward flanger.

Strymon Orbit — HornFX

horn-fx.com

The Strymon Orbit flanger is a solid effort to bring classic flange tones into the modern age. With intuitive controls and a notable expression pedal interface, it offers versatility within its specific niche. While it excels in clarity and minimizes common flanger issues, its capabilities remain limited to flange effects alone. The layout is user-friendly, though understanding the switches might require some reading. Its adaptability in live settings is commendable, offering minimal noise even at high blend settings. If you're seeking a high-quality flanger with a classic touch, the Orbit is a strong contender, though it's not without its limits in broader effect versatility.

Can do chorus/vibrato, too. Underrated modulation tool.

This is already a great flanger - the feedback and waveform toggles make it really versatile. I like using negative feedback for a more 'lo-fi', scooped sound. But the mix and regen knobs give it a second function as a chorus/vibrato pedal. With the mix all the way up and regen all the way down, it's a vibrato. With the mix around half-way, you can turn it into a very nice chorus (especially with the speed high and width low). The favorite switch means this can be a flanger/vibrato, flanger/chorus, chorus/vibrato combo. Stereo spread is great, too.
