The future of music notation
This is the most clever, most intelligent and most intuitive notation software I've ever come across. Spend a couple of days getting into its core concepts, and you will suddenly just "get it" - and then you will never want to use anything else ever again. It is completely elastic the way it handles note information, behaving and thinking more like a DAW than traditional, rigid music notation software. Its use of "pop-overs" makes the input of dynamics and playing techniques faster than ever. At the same time Dorico's engrave mode is a complete desktop publishing suite, tailor-made for music notation. Created from scratch by the same brains that made the original Sibelius (and learning from the mistakes of scoring software of the past), Dorico is the future of music notation. I use it for all my film scoring work and don't plan to ever go back to anything else.
