Crafted with precision and artistry, our dotars feature a bowl made of rich Mulberry wood and a neck of durable Walnut, ensuring both visual appeal and sturdy construction.

Unique to the Khorasan region, the dotar's performance often accompanies sung poetry, creating a mesmerizing auditory experience. Unlike other lutes, the dotar is played by striking the strings with the fingers of the right hand, producing a distinct metallic timbre that resonates with depth and emotion. Traditionally, dotars have 5 frets aligned chromatically, but some variations embrace three-quarter-tone intervals, offering versatility and a range of expression.
