EOTJ Releases Digits 2 Free Phase Distortion Synthesizer - Bedroom Producers Blog

bedroomproducersblog.com

Digits 2 by Extent Of The Jam impresses as a free phase distortion synth that captures the essence of Casio CZ synths while adding modern sound-sculpting features. With resonant filters, built-in effects, and expanded presets, it offers versatility and an easy-to-navigate interface, making it a great budget-friendly alternative to pricier options. However, the initial lack of 64-bit Windows support was a setback, although this has since been rectified. Overall, Digits 2 is a commendable tool for those seeking the classic phase distortion sound without breaking the bank.

Great free plugin

My introduction to phase distortion synthesis (something first introduced by Casio with their CZ synths). Find it nice for pads and eerie soundscapes. Feels easier to grasp (and patch) than an FM synth due to there being less parameters and all (not experienced enough with the different types of synthesis to say if that's at a cost or not)... But I like it, especially considering it's free... =D

Wonderful little rompler/synth

I just like the selection of sounds. Its a bit broken, old and yet digital. Love it!
