One Solid Bass
This was the first instrument I owned and I'm very happy I chose this model. My model is a 2-tone sunburst made in 2006. Recently I went about replacing all of the electronics including the pickup with vintage correct parts; paper in oil capacitors, cloth insulated wire, etc. Listening to music from the era this bass and the wiring configuration would be used, it sounds spot on. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a sharp looking bass with fantastic tone to back it up.

Great looking, distinctive voice.
Very distinctive bass, snappy sound, chunky feel on the hands. Used by the likes of Deerhunter, Apples in Stereo... Sounds amazing with flat wound strings, for that vintage, sponge under the strings, bomp-bomp-bomp sound. With round wound strings it cuts really sharp. Check out the song 'Nothing Ever Happened' by Deerhunter for a good example of this bass at its best.
