Description

Experience the sonic prowess of the G&L ASAT Special Solid, where innovation meets tradition in a strikingly designed electric guitar. Built in the legendary birthplace of Fullerton, California, this guitar embodies the vision of Leo Fender with its dynamic features and impeccable craftsmanship. Crafted from a resonant alder body, the ASAT Special is engineered for sustain and clarity, thanks to its Saddle-Lock bridge that optimally transfers string energy into the guitar’s body.

Equipped with two Leo Fender-designed Special Jumbo MFD pickups, this guitar offers a tone palette that's both rich and expansive. The pickups deliver a pronounced midrange snarl, perfect for cutting through any mix, while retaining a delightful harmonic complexity. Whether you're chasing a bluesy crunch or a spanky lead, the ASAT Special responds with precision and warmth.

The playability is enhanced by a slim maple neck paired with a 12-inch-radius maple fingerboard, decorated with distinctive black block inlays. This design not only provides a smooth playing experience but also adds a touch of flair to the instrument's aesthetic. High-performance G&L locking tuners ensure tuning stability, while the pearloid pickguard adds a touch of elegance to your rig.

G&L ASAT better than a Tele

I used to dislike maple necks until a I owned a certain 90's Ibanez way back.. The neck on this one is solid and fast, with a fantastic look to it all around. This ASAT is on the heavy side, it reminds me of a LP almost. Crazy-sharp Candy Apple red finish and p90's in a Tele style body. I usually shy all the way away from axes outfitted with soapbox pickups. The P90's combined with the bolt on maple neck and hefty body results in a unique sound.

Of course its just aesthetics, but I think the G&L headstock is the coolest of any guitar company- Strictly Opinion. Definitely give G&L or Musicman a try if you like Fender Guitars!
