Interesting

That is an interesting piece of instrument. I have never seen such sustain on a guitar. Tone is original but not for my taste actually but in terms of dynamics this guitar is really unique.

Erkin Koray likely used his Höfner 176 electric guitar to record his first single, "Bir Eyül Akşamı," and his EP, "Balla Balla." He also played it during his time with the Air Force Jazz Band. It seems he retired the Höfner around 1967, when he signed with Istanbul Records, in favor of a Fender Stratocaster. This was later replaced by his iconic white Gibson SG, which he used when forming his group, Yeraltı Dörtlüsü, in the early 1970s. The proof of his ownership is a user-uploaded photo.
