Just fantastic
I've been using the Emissary amp sim (along with a few others from Ignite) for a few years now, and it's still one of my go-to plugins. I also use paid amp sims, notably the Powerball sim from Amplitube, and the fact that this one sounds just as good blows my mind. Ignite builds custom hardware amps as their primary business, and they offer the amp sims as... Advertising maybe? I just can't imagine how they can keep putting out these plugins without charging for them, but I'm really glad they do. Excellent for high-gain metal sounds, with a HUGE range of tones you can get by dialing the controls around - but also good for the clean stuff, too. Give it a shot - the price is definitely right on this one!

Can't beat free!
This amp sim really does only one thing well, and that's big high gain guitar. That being said, it does that VERY well, and it's free! If you need heavy guitar and can't afford a hardware setup or more pricey amp sim software, this will work perfect. I have both a hardware setup and some paid amp sims, and I'll find myself going back to the Emissary on occasion.

One of the best metal amp heads I've heard...
...and it's a free VST plug-in. This one in particular is clearly aimed at metal players, but with "metal" being such a wide term these days, its versatility comes almost by design. I use it mostly for Black Album-style rhythm tones, and it gets a lot of use in leads too. Along with LePou's HyBrit plug-in, it's one of those products that'll make you go "how is this free?!"

Great Amp Sim
This Amp VST Plugin is completely free and will have your back protected with both a brutal sound when equipped with an overdrive and a pristine cleans when equipped with an delay and reverb. I personally recommend using Rectifier, ENGL PRO and Marshall 1960 IRs with this one for getting the best tone with this great free VST plugin.
