Description
Kramer’s The '84 is a rock icon reborn, paying tribute to one of the most influential electric guitars from the golden age of shredding. Crafted for pure performance, its lightweight alder body ensures a balanced tone that resonates with clarity and power. The Seymour Duncan JB humbucker, renowned for its scorching output and tonal versatility, is a perfect match for this axe, capturing the essence of hot-rodded humbucker tones. Whether you're laying down riffs or launching into a face-melting solo, the JB pickup ensures you’re heard loud and clear.
The guitar's hard-rock maple neck, paired with a K-Speed SlimTaper "C" profile, provides a fast and smooth playing experience, ideal for lightning-fast licks or intricate fingerwork. The 12"-radius fingerboard, featuring 22 medium-jumbo frets, invites endless exploration across its 25.5” scale.
The Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo is your ticket to wild dives, shrieks, and flutters while maintaining rock-solid tuning stability. This double-locking system is a must-have for any serious shredder, allowing you to push the limits without losing your edge.

A good buy
Got the red one '84 (Red w/ Floyd Rose™). The guitar needed a minor setup (string action was at 4mm!, the bridge was slightly tilted). There were some minor paint flaws. Other than that - the neck is a wee bit fat but not that chunky I expected - 22 mm (0.86") at the first fret, 24 (0.94") at the 12th. You can get used to it. The access to the upper frets could be better. The single Seymour Duncan JB humbucker pickup does the job; I usually don't use the middle or neck pickup so I am pretty happy with it. You can, however, do some coil tapping from time to time. The tremolo (Floyd Rose 1000) stays in tune almost perfectly even after some crazy FR sessions. As of now, I am not planning to install a tremol-no, althought I already bought one. Overall, a good buy.

Here's my Kramer 84 that I painted with a lot of stripes. I really love the fat unfinished neck on this. I miss whammy bars! There's a @seymourduncanpickups Jason Becker Pickup in this one.#galaktikonII
Oh also I'd used this guitar for any Dr Rockzo moments. I pulled it out for the Doomstar Requiem when Rockzo makes his big appearance in "Giving Back to You"

According to Annie DiRusso's artist page on the official Gibson website, the Kramer The '84 is confirmed to be part of her equipment.
It found me at a time when I really needed it on my first tour when my other guitar kept breaking. It has become my everyday guitar; it’s sturdy and does the job well. It has that natural Kramer dirt which is so nice and has absolutely shaped my tone over the years. It also just stays in tune really well. I keep it semi-locked with the Floyd Rose®. It absolutely shreds.
