Critic Reviews

Review: D'Angelico Premier Brighton - Light Audio Recording

lightaudiorecording.com

The D'Angelico Premier Brighton shines with its versatility and playful spirit, making it a solid choice for recording. Its coiltapping feature expands tonal options, allowing it to bridge the gap between solid and semi-hollow sounds. However, the guitar's brightness might be too pronounced for some players, compromising the richness expected from dedicated humbuckers. While it excels in delivering punk-oriented tones, it may not fully replace high-end models from Gibson or Fender. For under $1,000, the Premier Brighton is a fun and adaptable instrument that offers great value, despite some tonal compromises.

Premier Brighton Review

dangelicoguitars.com

D'Angelico's Premier Brighton offers a refreshing take on the solidbody design, blending traditional aesthetics with innovative features. Its lightweight basswood body and satin-finished neck provide a unique playing experience, while the Seymour Duncan pickups deliver versatile tones, suitable for blues and rock aficionados. However, the guitar's appearance can be polarizing, with some awkward visual elements around the neck joint. Despite minor cosmetic quirks, the Brighton stands out for its playability and tonal character, making it a compelling choice for musicians seeking something distinctive in the mid-priced range.

D’Angelico Premier Brighton review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

A fresh and engaging addition to the solidbody guitar landscape, the D'Angelico Premier Brighton stands out with its versatile sound and sleek playability. While its unconventional neck-body joint might raise eyebrows, the satin-finished neck enhances speed and comfort. The Seymour Duncan pickups deliver a satisfying range, though the neck pickup leans a bit too dark for some tastes. Overall, it combines classic elements with modern flair, making it a compelling option for rock and blues guitarists eager to break away from the norm.

I mean, it sounds great and it's gorgeous.

I think a guitar should inspire you to play. For me, this guitar does. It's warm but you can split the coils on the picks ups so you get the best of both words. It's just good.
