Owner Insights

We analyzed real musician discussions from forums and Reddit to find what players love, question, and tweak about Midas 32.

    Source
  • The console processes up to 40 inputs and 25 outputs at any time, but routing all 25 outputs to individual sockets requires creative configuration due to physical limitations.

    Source
  • The Midas M32 allows for flexible input routing with the recent firmware update, enabling user-defined banks for single channel assignments instead of just blocks of eight.

    Source
  • The M32 can record directly to internal SD cards for virtual soundchecks, allowing mixes to be refined without performers on stage.

    Source
  • Owners report that the console's design remains robust after years of use, though customer service from Midas is noted as slow and difficult to navigate.

    Source

Use cases and applications

Critic Reviews

Midas 32 Vs Allen & Heath Qu32

audiotechnology.com

The Midas M32 emerges as a budget-friendly gateway into Midas digital console territory, boasting premium preamps and faders within a Behringer X32 framework. It offers plentiful features without significant sacrifices, but the TFT display's lack of touchscreen capability and potential clutter might deter some users. While the M32 isn't a direct successor to other Midas consoles, its hybrid nature and pro-level build will attract those seeking quality sound and feel at a competitive price. Overall, it's a compelling choice for those prioritizing sound fidelity and advanced features in a digital mixer.

The great thing about this mixer is that it is also a Soundcard, it has a Firewire connection and means I can record 32 separate channels at once. I have a lot of machines and this Midas gives me the freedom to record everything simultaneously into separate stems. I record a lot of live jams with it and this pushes me to take recordings into different directions as a result of the spontaneous workflow. Additionally the EQ’s on the mixer sound really great too, and when pushed hard it also distorts nicely!
