Music Man’s Hybrid Boogie Amp: The RD-50 | Vintage Guitar® magazine

vintageguitar.com

The Music Man RD-50 Guitar Head Amplifier offers a distinctive hybrid design, combining a solid-state preamp with a tube power section. This amp delivers impressive tonal versatility and volume, thanks to its unique limiter circuit by Leo Fender. It's noted for its robust build and potential collectibility, tied to the legacy of Leo Fender. However, its loudness might be overwhelming for some settings, and tube choice significantly affects its sound. Overall, it's a reliable and cost-effective option for gigging musicians, especially those seeking a blend of vintage warmth and modern flexibility.
