Description
These were made in the 70s and 80s by a company called PA:CE (Parmee Acoustics Collins Electromagnetics) aka Bell Electrolabs. PA:CE bought Bell Electrolabs and began to manufacture studio equipment and moved away from pedals.
The original Bell ADT pedal used 4 delay lines and was a unique circuit designed by Tony Koorlander, PA:CE changed the circuit in an effort to cheapen the manufacturing of them by cutting the circuit down to a single delay based around the MN3005 BBD chip.
The updated circuit is similar to a flanger with a wide delay range, able to go from very short to slap back delay. The controls are Gain (preamp gain/volume, can be used for overdrive) Mix (full dry or full wet mix) Mod (speed of the modulation) Dev (Deviation: modulation depth) and Delay (delay time).
These are incredibly rare today and it’s unknown how many were made and for how long. These can often be seen branded as either PA:CE or Bell Electrolabs, but both are the exact same circuits.
