Description
Experience the perfect fusion of vintage charm and modern innovation with the Reverend Gil Parris Signature guitar. Designed to meet the high standards of acclaimed guitarist Gil Parris, this solid body electric guitar is a testament to both craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. The guitar boasts a premium korina body, known for its harmonic richness and resonant qualities, paired with a meticulously roasted maple neck that enhances stability and tonal clarity.
At the heart of this instrument are the Fishman Fluence Single Width pickups, offering a broad spectrum of tones without the unwanted hum. The guitar’s controls are intuitive, featuring a master volume and tone controls for each pickup, along with a custom Reverend push-pull bridge tone control for added versatility.
This guitar is not just about sound; it’s built for performance. The Wilkinson WVS50K tremolo bridge ensures smooth vibrato action, while the Reverend Pin-Lock tuners and Boneite nut keep your tuning rock solid. Cannot put it down!
I picked up a used 2012 Reverend GP recently and it's a blast to play. I think technically the one I have is the "Reverend Gil Parris II" - it's in Lakeshore Gold. Just looking at it it has a real appeal to it the way everything comes together and looks on it. Reverend did a really great job building these guitars. The necks and frets are on point, the pups sound amazing and I have no desire to go looking for 'upgrades' as I have on a lot of other guitars. The Wilkinson bridge/trem system is one of the best I've played and if you combine it with the stock pin locking tuners -- you have a guitar that makes it a lot harder to go out of tune. I don't have the bridge set up to do dive bombs (RIP EVH!!) or anything, but for what I do going out of tune isn't an issue. The 3 pups and the 5-way selector switch AND that Reverend Bass Contour give you so many tones it's insane. Given the way it looks, plays, feels and sounds this is one I'm happy I picked up!

One of the original series Gil Parris models from Reverend guitars. It's a great all rounder!
