Description
Introducing the EVH 5150 Iconic Series 80W Head, a powerful guitar amplifier engineered to meet the needs of both gigging and recording guitarists. This amp is inspired by the legendary EVH 5150 series, offering the searing sound and growling gain that defined Eddie Van Halen's pioneering style.
This amp head is powered by four JJ 6L6 power tubes and two JJ ECC83S preamp tubes, providing the firepower needed for any musical setting. The Green channel offers a lush, clean sound that can gain up with the push of a button. In contrast, the Red channel's burn button ignites a fiery crunch, perfect for face-melting leads.
The 5150 Iconic 80W head comes with dedicated Gain and Volume controls for each channel, allowing you to balance levels when switching between the clean and high-gain channels. The Red channel's noise gate provides a quick attack, perfect for articulating staccato riffs without choking the sustain. For solos that cut through the mix, a footswitchable Boost on Channel 2 adds 10dB of volume.
This amp head doesn't just sound great, it also looks the part. Wrapped in textured black vinyl with a brushed aluminum faceplate, steel grille, and vintage-style controls, the EVH 5150 Iconic 80W head is a visually striking piece of equipment that embodies the signature EVH style.

Badass!
This right here is an example of a great amp! At volume 3 this thing can shake a whole house! it is well designed, Sounds brutal, and versatile for any genre. It even has a built in boost which is very nice. If you are looking for a high end amp but, don't want to spend the money on a peavey 5150 go for this! For 80 watts this thing can really push air! This is an amp you wouldn't want to pass up!
very good
Very good stuff. It may smell strange at first because new tubes can burn off dust, but then it works well. The sound is above average, reminiscent of a rougher Marshall, but sharper. It's not perfect, but it won't disappoint. The price is an advantage.
