So good
This is one of the most organic low gain drives I’ve ever played. Works insanely well as a first stage drive, and with an EQ/Boost before it, it can be pushed into a super tasty, amp-like, mid-gain sound. Doesn’t do high gain or creamy leads.
The Only Truely "Transparent" Overdrive - Best In The Game. This Pedal Is The Truth.
There is no such thing as a "transparent" overdrive. Overdrive by its definition has colour and character. Now, if you want a pedal that will push your amp a little harder into its sweetspot, without altering that tone, ie the pedal is "transparent", this is the only one. It has a little more gain on tap if you turn the drive knob up past 3 o'clock, meaning you can add just a hair more grit to something like a Fender.. But if you're playing at medium-low volumes and you just need a pedal to make up for what the power amp isn't doing, this is the one. Or at gig volume, with an amp that's in its happy place, this thing can just kick it over the edge in the most inspiring, musical way. Nick Greer cracked the code with this one. It's just perfect. Stacks better than any other OD I've ever had, but I've even loved rocking this as the ONLY OD on my board. That's right. You don't need a Mars shuttle with 12 overdrives. I use this with my Boss GE-7 for when I need to cut through for solos, and that's it. Anything dirtier, get a fuzz. But the clarity and "transparency" in this pedal is second to none. It's no wonder why it's become the modern pedalboard staple that it has. From Nashville country guys to southern rockers to R&B bands. This thing is the one. I play original music a la Ry Cooder, Blake Mills, etc as well as a hired gun playing in cover bands from Soul, R&B, Southern Rock, all the way through to Hardcore, Punk, and even into Metal territory. This pedal does it all.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
For medium - low volume at home, put the drive at 11 or 12 o'clock, and increase the volume to taste. Frequency control at about 2-3 o'clock for Humbucker guitars, 11-12 o'clock for single coils.. At gig volume, leave the drive knob at 12, or maybe back it off to 10-11 o'clock, and increase that volume knob.

Favorite Always On Drive
Not sure the technical term but this pedal makes everything sound wider and adds a beautiful, touch responsive sparkle.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Everything basically at noon and tweak the drive depending on the output of the guitar. Love running a Wampler Belle into the Lightspeed.

Amazing Transparent Overdrive!!!!
I love this thing, Very transparent, does not color tone, its responsive to your playing. I run it all at 12, drive dialed back. It's my 1st drive. I will pair this with the Southland Overdrive very soon which will be my 2nd drive. I recommend it for the money.
I have been playing it through my clean channel of a Blackstar club 60 and my Korina PRS. I also play it through my Highway One Fender Stratocaster. I use it for church playing Hillsong, Y&F, Elevation worship, etc...(funky dance groove, driving music)
