Regista - The Midfield Maestro by RhPf Electronics

The RhPf Electronics Regista is a fully analog parametric midrange pedal that brings the spirit of Rupert Neve’s overlooked Amek Mozart MZ15-RN console to your pedalboard. Inspired by one of Neve’s most fascinating late analog console designs, Regista gives guitarists, bassists, and studio-minded players precise control over the frequencies that define body, bite, presence, clarity, and mix placement.

Regista is more than just an EQ pedal. It is a tone-shaping studio tool built around the musical power of the midrange. The Zone control sweeps the selected frequency from 100 Hz to 10 kHz, while Shape adjusts the bandwidth from broad, natural curves to narrow, surgical focus. Drive then boosts or cuts the chosen area with authority, letting you add vocal-like presence, tighten low mids, remove harshness, carve space, or push a part forward in the mix. A dedicated Level control provides post-EQ output recovery, so the pedal can work as a subtle enhancer, a focused problem-solver, or a powerful lead-boosting tool.

Rooted in the sound and philosophy of the Amek Mozart, a console connected to records as different as Buena Vista Social Club, Nine Inch Nails’ The Downward Spiral, and Blur’s Think Tank, Regista turns a forgotten piece of analog studio history into a practical, expressive instrument for modern players. With fully analog circuitry, 9V or 18V operation, and Swiss-built attention to detail, it gives you console-style midrange authority at your feet.
