The best affordable drum mic set - full stop.

This set of 7 mics consists of 5 dynamic mics (named the QSnare, QTom and QKick) are voiced for snare (frequency response modelled after a Shure SM57), toms and bass drums as well as two small diaphragm condenser mics (named the C02 mics). These condensers are hypercardioid and record very cleanly for such a cheap mic. The only downside to this mic set is the way the mics mount to the drums, they are very limited in how you can position the mic and especially for snare, puts it in a place that isn't very preferable for the sound, as well as its almost always in a place it can be hit by the drummer. The tom mics do however allow you to place them quite nicely. The kick and overheads feature a cheap shock-mount system that is actually relatively effective.
