Good live mics, not good for studio
These are suitable for smaller live venues looking for budget microphones. I don’t recommend them in a studio setting.
The BD-1 kick microphone and two OH-2 overhead microphones are alright. The four ST-4 microphones for toms and snare are the weakest microphones. These don’t capture the deep lows or highs of the drums they mic. Their capture spectrum seems very mid focused.
I’ve had the DM-7 microphones for a few years and haven’t been able to record anything that makes me pleased. I rented four Shure Beta 98A microphones for the snare and toms and the sound quality difference was insane (though so is the price).
