Description
This is the Custom SuperStrats Built by Sammy Sanchez (for Slash).
Sammy Sanchez is a renowned guitar tech and builder who crafted custom Super Strat guitars for top artists, including:
Slash (from Guns N’ Roses), with at least two Custom Super Strats made specifically for him in the early ’90s.
These instruments featured Gibson-style short scales, Floyd Rose tremolos, bolt-on necks, locking nuts, and Seymour Duncan Alnico II pickups allowing Slash to switch from his signature Les Paul easily and maintain his tone and feel for songs like "Dust N’ Bones" on Tour.
This type of “Sanchez SuperStrat” is rare, artisanal, and historically significant , tied directly to Slash and built by a Professional Guitar Technician.
Body Material: Alder body
Scale Length: 24.75″ (Gibson-style short scale, matching Slash’s Les Paul feel instead of the 25.5″ common on Strats)
Construction: Bolt-On Neck
Pickups: Two Seymour Duncan Alnico II humbuckers – Slash’s long-time preferred pickups
Bridge: Double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo system
Finish: All-black look with a black headstock featuring the “Sanchez” logo in typical ’80s lettering
Tour Use: Used by Slash to play the talkbox riffs on “Dust N’ Bones” during the Use Your Illusion tour
