The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Philip Sayce “Big Daddy” Stratocaster Pickup Set faithfully recreates the sound of Philip Sayce’s beloved 1963 Stratocaster, known for its powerful, muscular voice and unmistakable vintage character. Designed to capture the essence of well-aged early-'60s Strat pickups, the set delivers a full-bodied neck tone, an expressive and dynamic middle pickup, and a bridge pickup with exceptional cut and sweetness. Seymour Duncan's Custom Shop meticulously analyzed the original pickups to reproduce their tone, feel, and output characteristics with remarkable accuracy. A unique micro-capacitor is incorporated into the bridge pickup to emulate the smooth high-end response developed through decades of natural aging. The result is a rich, punchy, and highly responsive vintage-inspired Strat set built for players seeking authentic blues, rock, and classic Stratocaster tones.
