Critic Reviews

SSL Duende Mini

soundonsound.com

The SSL Duende Mini offers the coveted sound of an SSL console at a more accessible price, making it a sound investment for those looking to add professional-grade EQ and dynamics to their DAW. While it doesn't include the Bus Compressor and limits you to 16 channels without paying for upgrades, it remains a cost-effective alternative to the Duende Classic. The ability to expand to full Duende capabilities and run multiple units provides flexibility. However, the latency increase and temptation to purchase additional plugins might be drawbacks for some. Overall, it's a compelling choice for those wanting SSL quality without breaking the bank.

Solid State Logic Duende Mini review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

SSL's Duende Mini offers musicians a more affordable route into their plug-in platform, maintaining the brand's renowned sound quality. It's a compact solution with expandable options, allowing for significant flexibility. However, the initial savings might be offset by the cost of additional plug-ins, which quickly adds up to a pricey investment. Despite this, the sound quality remains unparalleled, making it a valuable tool for those seeking high-end audio processing. If you're willing to invest in the extra plug-ins, the Duende Mini can deliver a professional-grade audio experience.
