Sony GTK-XB60 Review | PCMag

pcmag.com

The Sony GTK-XB60 delivers impressive bass and an eye-catching LED light show, making it a compelling choice for party enthusiasts. However, its hefty weight and limited portability may deter those seeking a truly mobile speaker. The sound is highly sculpted, favoring bass-heavy genres while potentially alienating audio purists. Battery life suffers under maximum volume, necessitating a power source for optimal use. While its performance is robust, the GTK-XB60 feels niche, catering to a specific audience rather than the all-around user. At $250, it stands as a solid option but faces stiff competition from more portable alternatives.

Sony GTK-XB60 Review: More Flashing Than Thumping

lbtechreviews.com

While the Sony GTK-XB60 dazzles with its flashy lights and DJ capabilities, it falls short in sound performance compared to rivals like JBL and Braven. Its short battery life at high volumes and cumbersome app navigation dampen the experience. The speaker offers decent sound across various genres, but achieving the right balance requires tedious tweaking. Overall, it’s a visually appealing party speaker that may disappoint audiophiles seeking robust sound.

Sony GTK-XB60 Review — GYMCADDY

gymcaddy.net

While the Sony GTK-XB60 delivers impressive bass and loudness, it falls short in sound clarity and high-frequency detail. Its portable design is complemented by convenient features like handles for easy transport and a decent battery life, but the lack of a 3.5mm audio jack may deter some users. The Bluetooth connection is reliable, although the accompanying app leaves much to be desired in terms of user experience. Ultimately, while it suits bass enthusiasts and those seeking a party speaker, its quirks and limitations make it a mixed bag for more discerning listeners.

Sony GTK-XB60 EXTRA BASS Bluetooth Speaker Review: Big, Beautiful Sound

androidheadlines.com

The Sony GTK-XB60 is a powerhouse with rich, booming sound that will elevate any party atmosphere. Its dual woofers and tweeters deliver impressive bass, and the vibrant LED lights add flair. However, its plastic build might raise eyebrows, especially given its hefty price tag of $350, which feels steep for some. While the speaker excels at volume and clarity, it lacks high-resolution audio support and is not designed for frequent transport due to its size and weight. Still, for those seeking a robust Bluetooth speaker for home or gatherings, the XB60 is hard to beat.

Very nice, yes.

Relatively loud, batterypower, blutooth, RCA line-in and big jack mic input so works for guitar monitor as well.
