The one that got away.
The Squier artist instruments were always a bit more pricey, but, in my experience, always extremely well-built.
I had one of these basses for about a year or so, and it was always reliable. I used it on a few recordings. The sound was tremendous, thought not incredibly versatile. The neck was great, it was light, and the finish looked cool as hell
I finally found another one in 2020.

Gerard Way posted this on his instagram. The third picture is of his new Mikey Way bass. (I love how he has his brother's custom bass!)
Mikey has used his custom Squire live with My Chemical Romance and it has since been released it to the public for purchase.
Second to last instrument next to him, the stripe and black headstock and pickup match exactly.
Throughout most all of this video you can see Chris playing a Squier Mikey Way Signature Bass
On Instagram, Milkie Way says:
So I heard today was #InternationalMyChemicalRomanceDay which is rather fitting as after literal years of searching I finally got my hands on a @mikeyway Signature @fender Mustang and after getting it back after a much needed spruce up, it’s playing like an absolute dream. I’m in love and I can’t wait for you all to see it in action in only a few months !!! Also what’s your fave MCR song, and what do you think mine is 👀
