Description

The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass is a tribute to the decade that made the P Bass an icon. Inspired by the vintage aesthetics and massive tone of the original, this bass delivers an exceptional performance. The heart of this retro bass is the Fender-designed alnico split-coil pickup that offers a punchy tone that is known to cut through any mix. The bass also features a slim and comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile, and a 9.5" fingerboard that plays fast and feels familiar.

The 4-saddle vintage-style bridge with threaded steel saddles provides solid intonation and anchors your groove. Along with the maple neck and Indian laurel fingerboard, this bridge helps produce a clear, articulate tone with rich sustain. The look of the bass is completed with a 3-color sunburst finish, tortoiseshell pickguard, and nickel-plated hardware. The vintage-style tuners, dot inlays, and 1960s-inspired headstock graphics all add up to the retro vibe.

Squier Classic Vibe 60’s Precision Bass review | TidyWords

wordpress.com

The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass impresses with vintage aesthetics and a price that defies its quality. Sporting a retro design, it captures the essence of the 1960s while offering a surprisingly light and enjoyable playing experience. The bass excels with a beautifully playable neck and efficient single-coil pickup that covers a broad tonal range. The fit and finish rival more expensive models, making it a standout in its price range. Minor drawbacks include a limited color choice and initial fret buzz, easily remedied with new strings. Overall, the Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass is a high-value instrument that competes with pricier counterparts, making it a top choice for budget-conscious musicians seeking classic sound and style.

Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass: Price, Specs and Best Deals | FindMyGuitar

findmyguitar.com

The Squier Precision Classic Vibe '60s offers an impressive vintage tone and quality Fender-designed pickups at a competitive price. While its Indonesian build and cheaper fret wire might raise concerns, the bass delivers solid playability with its poplar body and maple neck. The bone nut and vintage-style tuners add to the appeal, though the lack of advanced features like locking tuners or active preamp is evident. Ideal for genres like rock and funk, its warm, punchy sound and affordability make it a strong contender for both beginners and experienced players seeking classic vibes without breaking the bank.

great bass

i really enjoy this bass but i will say i have some small problems with it. i love the tone of the bass manly because it has that great P-bass sound and the actual build quality is great. only issue i have is with the bass is the hand rest, I naturally have large hands and for my wrists it can become uncomfortable after a couple hours of playing.

redbird_super

It's a custom Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s, in Fiesta Red. He added a J pickup, 2 stacked pot for volume tone (like the one on the newest Squier Jaguar bass or a vintage jazz bass or the Flea signature bass), he probably also changed the P pickup. He removed the thumb rest from the pickguard - you can notice the holes in the video. You can notice the finish on the headstock and the Squier logo match the same of a standard CV '60s.
