The neck was no good.

First off, I have to say that I loved the neck shape. That said, it was hugely unstable and the truss rod bottomed out trying to get enough tension to compensate. Ultimately, I opted to replace the neck with an All Parts one.

Mid-tier price for high-tier performance

Bought this new about 3-4 weeks ago, and have loved it since. Maple fingerboard is glossy and incredibly fun to play with, and the sing split pickup feels quite responsive. I am also a huge (!) fan of the metal guard over the bridge of the instrument. Functionally, it can be nice to rest my wrist on while playing w/ a pick, but it's just so damn good looking!.

My only real gripes are that the action can be a bit of a bitch to adjust (guess why?), and the plastic that was placed over the pickguard is difficult to remove from around the edges of the tone knobs/ thumb rest.

I went to guitar center to get a more traditional sounding bass after originally buying a Schecter stiletto 5 many years ago. i played bass after bass but I kept gravitating towards this one even over more expensive models the tone and playability I am looking for was unmatched regardless of the price thanks for the review it was very helpful to confirm what i initially suspected!
