Vox V846-HW review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Vox V846-HW Wah-Wah Pedal captures the classic Hendrix vibe with its vintage-spec Halo inductor and hand-wired turret board. While it excels with clean, funky tones and single-coil pickups, its lack of venom in high-gain settings may disappoint some. The true bypass feature is a modern boon, but the absence of an AC adaptor socket is a frustrating oversight. Despite these quirks, the V846-HW is a high-quality, expressive pedal for those seeking vintage authenticity without the modern frills.

The Original wah...

The 60s wah sound. I mainly use it by gently manipulating the pedalboard with tremolo and delay... to create psychedelic pads, or in a fixed position to filter the sound and cut into the mix... usually with a fuzz pedal before it.

I'm not really into the wacky, wacky vibe!

Or on dub-influenced compositions.
