Description
Introducing the Dunlop EVH 95 Signature Wah, a stellar member of the EVH Signature Series born from an unparalleled design collaboration with the legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen. This pedal is not just a piece of equipment; it's an artistic tool packed with a rich history and unique sound engineering that captures the essence of Van Halen's signature style.
Inspired by Eddie's "Holy Grail" Crybaby, a standard Crybaby he modified in the early Nineties for a more vocal-like tone and a wider frequency sweep, this pedal takes you on a journey through the evolution of a master's craft. Van Halen's unique wah style, which relies heavily on the middle range, has over time sculpted a unique curve into the pot's resistive element. This has given the mid-range even more definition and increased the low-end sweep, capturing the essence of Eddie's sound.
The Dunlop EVH 95 Signature Wah is a faithful clone, replicating the worn-in pot and hand-selected inductor to give you the same "Holy Grail" feel and tone. It comes in a unique design, adorned with graphics based on the black and yellow-striped guitar featured on Van Halen II, and is complemented by dual bright blue bypass LEDs for visual feedback. This pedal is more than just a wah; it's a piece of rock history.

Unique Wah Tone
EVH isn't exactly known for heavy use of the wah compared to others, but this custom voiced pedal has a flavour all its own. Very specific sweep range which may or may not suit everyone. One bonus is this has LED indicators and is true bypass.

Fun fact: Jimi Hendrix had a meal named after him in his hay day. The Wah-Wah Bun.
This has been a great deal of fun to use in my old band. It used to have a large sweep and an awesome tone with distortion, except I think since the battery is running lower the sweep isn't quite right, probably my fault. Has a quite harsh high frequency sweep, but I still love pulling it out and playing every now and then.

It's okay
I don't care about Eddie to be honest... but hey it's a nice wah pedal with a warm sound. VERY sensible though. Keep care
Could be 5 stars if I used it more
For me there is always a learning period with effect pedals and trying to figure out what to do with it. A Wah Wah is pretty straightforward but I'm just not entirely a Wah Wah person. Believe me, I've seen people that can't get off the wah wah. I do plan to use it more in the future. Like I've said, this could be 5 stars for me.

From Bobby Cedro, senior engineer at Dunlop, manufacturers of Eddie's original "Holy Grail" Cry Baby from which this pedal is directly cloned: "This wah wah is real special to me because I had the good fortune of working with Eddie in developing this wah... the interesting thing about this pedal is actually its inspiration... it had an inductor which was selected for a nice, rich, low-end sound... but when we tried to replicate it... when we measured the pot, through years of playing, Ed wore out the middle of that pot, and it gave it a whole new different response... I had that remade, got that same selected inductor, and those two things coupled in gives you the voice of Eddie Van Halen's pedal, and he loved it. He's all, "that's it"!"
